OFFICIAL ALBUM LAUNCH "ALL AT SEA" By Melissa Saunders and FishJam
YOU ARE INVITED TO ATTEND THE OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF OUR NEW ALBUM "ALL AT SEA" BY Melissa Saunders and FISHJAM
The album is a collection of originals by singer song writer, Melissa Saunders. Produced and recorded by Bob Barford, the songs are a personal and touching collection of positive vibe and shared wisdom. The songs range from uplifting blues to soulful tunes of loss. It will be available for sale at the CD launch and at selected stores after the launch or by email/postal request from hvhmusic@bigpond.com or find us on face book under Melissa Saunders and FishJam.
FishJam will be playing all the songs from the album at the official launch starting at 11:30am on SUNDAY THE 5th of August. Members of the band are looking forward to sharing their original and funky music with all of you.
Singer song writer, Melissa Saunders, uses her early classical training to add precision and class to the blues and alternate folk melodies she loves.
Her husband, Paul Saunders, plays a mean jazz, blues and rock piano, also adding effects to the mix. He makes that keyboard move, literally.
Bob Barford is a well known folk musician, playing a plethora of instruments including guitar, violin, mandolin, banjo and vocals. We think he's just showing off (we want to see him play all of them at once) This variety of instruments adds style and flavour to the mix.
Alan Doorman is well known around town for drumming on the buses! A soulful jazz drummer with some serious time as a rock drummer, Al brings experience, a soft touch and hilarity to the sound.
Bass player, Matt Lee will pick you up with his infectious laugh or in his limousine service! His solid bass will keep your foot tapping.
The launch will be held at the WHITSUNDAY GOLD'S COFFEE PLANTATION which is just North of Proserpine on the Bruce Highway. We will be providing music for the inaugural FARMERS MARKET so there will be lots to see and share, including, it is rumoured, a visit from the Minister for Agriculture! If that doesn't thrill you to bits, keep in mind there will be great fresh fruit and vegies and the best locally grown coffee available, along with other yummy treats.
Music will kick off from 10am with sets throughout the day and the OFFICIAL ALBUM LAUNCH at 11:30 just after the official opening of the first Whitsunday Farmers Market by the Minister of Agriculture.
Sound will be provided by Gunnadoo Productions. Keeping it live in the Whitsundays! (so you know we'll sound good)
We'd love to see you there! WE REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT AND NEED AS MANY GROUPIES AS POSSIBLE!
For any enquiries, please ring Melissa and Paul on 0420947219/ 49471566 or email us on hvhmusic@bigpond.com

For your information, the first meeting drew a couple of dozen men - a very promising outcome - and the shed is to be part of a new community centre for which a hefty government grant has been given. We hope to be breaking ground on it before the year is out.
Many thanks, Rob Nicholls
