Update from I Sell Airlie Beach

Hi Everyone

Well it's been a very wet and soggy couple of weeks here. Hamilton Island had 93mm of rain in the past 24 hours and Proserpine 55.6mm, so we are sitting at a sticky 94% humidity today. It is supposed to start clearing tomorrow so that will definitely be welcome. The up side of all this rain is that the area is beautiful and green with lush gardens and it's a great time to check out real estate as you can see how well a place copes during the wet.

The weather has had a big impact on the main street upgrade as rain has slowed progress dramatically this week. However, we all knew it had to happen at some stage. We are in the wet season after all.

You will notice I have put something else up under the main street upgrade – Information on the proposed Collinsville to Proserpine dam development road. Very interesting.

The big news in our area this week was of course the news that Abel Point Marina sold for a rumoured $25Million, down from $75 Million the last time it sold. Ouch, that would hurt!

The main street traders are working hard to come up with ideas to boost tourism and shopping in the main street. Check out their latest ideas. I will update this when I have more info

I regularly get asked why you have to pay body corp. levies and why they cost so much.

International Women's day in the Whitsundays is always a big event with Zonta holding a brunch with guest speakers

Enjoy your week wherever you are, and remember, if you need help with real estate matters, whether buying, selling or just curious, give me a call. Everyone knows I love to chat, especially about Airlie and real estate J

Kind Regards
