Rugby Union School Holiday Clinic on Friday (this Friday!) 28th September

Rugby Union School Holiday Clinic on Friday (this Friday!) 28th September 2012 at the Whitsunday Sportspark. The commencement time will be 8.30am and concludes at 3pm. Please be prompt at pick up time as all staff are volunteers!!

I have included a registration form which is required for insurance purposes. Please fill in and bring with you on the morning with $30 cash or Chq. To all players that played in the 2012 Rugby season you rego forms are still current so will not be needed. Canteen will be open for snacks and drinks so some extra money sent with the children would be good. I will ensure they eat their healthy lunch packed by you before they get stuck into the canteen!!

 As it is heating up please ensure they have sunscreen, hat, and appropriate clothing for a day of rugby. Boots are not essential. Plenty of water. Perhaps freeze a bottle the night before. It will defrost quickly.

 The QLD Reds development officer from Brisbane will be co-ordinating the day with Reds player and coaching staff including our volunteer Junior  coaches and A grade Coach (Hemi) with some A grade players.

WCL members and guests are invited to our informal annual dinner at Café 22 prior to the AGM on the 16th October. Meals will be $15 per head ($30 for non-members) with non-alcoholic drinks available for purchase. Café 22 is BYO.  You are welcome to bring along your alcoholic beverages: there will be no corkage fee.

 

Seating and socializing will be at 6.00 p.m. and meals starting at approximately 6.15., giving us plenty of time to enjoy a meal and conversation before the start of the AGM at 7.15

What are you doing for Fathers Day?

What are you doing for Fathers Day? Whether HE be your father or the father of your children, surely, in addition to showering him with gifts you would want him to enjoy a great dinner like you can experience at the Airlie Beach Bowls Club WHITEHAVEN ROOM; and you don't have to slave over a hot stove.
 

If you haven't already sampled the WHITEHAVEN ROOM ROAST DINNER, this coming Sunday, Fathers Day, is your chance. The brochure gives details of your choice of either roast lamb and gravy or corned silverside with garlic cream, served with a delicious potato bake, baked sweet potato and green peas and carrots; afterwards delight in a scrumptious steamed pudding with custard and cream.

 

Kitchen is serving from 5.30 to 7.00 PM (you don't have to book, but I advise you to be early rather than late).
